THE RAPALA CUP
During the beginning of our trip, we spent many hours of dreaming and talking about our desire to catch some big fish.
I told them a bit about me and my father when we were fishing few years ago. And because of this i and mon frère Marco had the responsability of the fisherman: catch the diner.
We didn't have any fishing rods, just a line and one rapala (bait)
After 8 days ? Still nothing, not even a single catch.
Then something bite the line, the excitement was at is peak.
We were super excited as we were bringing back the line, but instead of a fish, we saw a fin emerge. Yes, it was a shark and tiny one but still, a shark. And once close to the boat, he decided to cut the line and take our Rapala with it.
After a few days in Colón, I was determined to replace our lost companion and fine a new friend. So i went in the fishing shop and just the door passed, i swear i saw it: a blue rapala. I immediately had a good feeling with this one.
So with this rapala by our side, our luck changed super fast. It was only a few hours after his first swim that we catch the huge yellowfin tuna that we were dreaming of. We became crazy and start to scream like monkey to celebrate. From then we decide to name this raplala : Gonzales
proved to be the master of our fishing campaign. Sierra, jack horse-eye, sierra, tuna, bonito
Gonzales won the Rapala Cup hands down.
During the rest of our journey he was proved to be the master of our fishing campaign. Sierra, jack horse-eye, sierra, tuna, bonito. Gonzales won the Rapala Cup easy.
However, as we approached the Colombian border,
Gonzales was swiming when an Incredible power bite him, pulling violently into the deep darkness of the Caribbean Sea.
I try to fight this monster but after few seconde we finally saw our line float, empty. Our crewmate, friend Gonzales had disappeared,
Taken away by this monster whose remained an obscure mystery.
Maybe he wasn't allowed to cross the broder and leave Panama, i didn't read the notice.
